Kate's interview with Michael Farmer exonerates him from one of the murders, the victim's remains being found in woodland, whilst Ted and Steve continue to question Roz, who sticks to her story that Farmer is the culprit. Discrepancies in her account of things lead to her being taken off the case and replaced by Ian Buckells. However, when Ifield is discovered Roz over-rules Steve in taking charge of the murders, allowing her to tamper with evidence, incriminate Ifield as killer and discredit AC-12 . Kate meanwhile finds a link between Hana and Ifield, who employed her as his cleaner. Written by don @ minifie-1

Convinced that Roz is holding something back Steve persuades Ted, to Hilton's annoyance, to search her office. Evidence suggests Ifield was the serial killer but Steve is still unconvinced and suspects Roz of complicity in his death. Roz however seems to get the upper hand when Michael admits to approaching another young woman out of loneliness and also tries to incriminate Hana, Ifield's cleaner, implying she killed him in self defence after a sexual affair. Steve meanwhile discerns that Roz's husband Nick lied to give her an alibi on the night of Ifield's death but this puts him in very grave danger. Written by don @ minifie-1

The discovery of new forensic anomalies appears to provide AC-12 with a major breakthrough. Meanwhile, Nick Huntley comes under scrutiny.

Hilton orders Ted to recuse the investigation into Roz, citing entrapment, and proposes shutting down AC 12. Ted is now convinced one of his team betrayed Kate with Jamie being the prime suspect. Steve returns to work, temporarily disabled and convinced that Nick was his attacker. He also discovers that the Huntleys' snide solicitor Jimmy Lakewell once acted for Michael and, knowing his previous, has offered him to Roz as the chief suspect. Then more evidence surfaces to vindicate both Michael and AC 12. Nick, meanwhile, genuinely concerned for Roz's injury, takes well-meaning action leading to a bitter retaliation by his wife. Ted confronts Hilton to place Roz in historic malpractice but once more she appears to be one step ahead of him. Written by don @ minifie-1

Things look bleak for Nick as he is interrogated by the murder squad but Kate and Steve, watching the interview, are inclined to believe in his innocence particularly when they learn of the injury to Roz's hand, leading to its amputation. Whilst Roz's continued manipulation builds a case against her husband as the serial killer AC 12 study CCTV footage to prove that she was in Ifield's flat when he was killed. She is subsequently arrested and makes an amazing confession. A shoot-out results before the case is closed, though only partially. Written by don @ minifie-1
